A new musical
by Joe Maloney
STORY
Blamed for a war she didn't ignite. Torn from her husband. Hidden away by the gods. Being the most beautiful woman in the world comes with a cost.
Helen tears apart the legend surrounding mythology’s most alluring figure, Helen of Troy. In this new musical, inspired by Euripides’ incredible story, the world’s greatest beauty has been hidden away by the gods in Egypt, while the notoriously bloody war is fought in her name. Meanwhile, the gods have created a perfect phantom duplicate of Helen and shipped her off to Troy with the Trojan Prince. As Troy falls, Helen remains faithfully in Egypt, barely avoiding the affections of a self-obsessed Egyptian ruler. Follow Helen as she embarks on her impossible quest to reclaim the life that was stolen from her.
